Our Story

Welcome to Elements Gymnastics Academy

We have a simple philosophy…

PASSION FOR A SPORT FOR LIFE.
LOVE IT, LIVE IT, BREATH IT!

In 2012, Jadie Edwards and Suzanne Wakefield established Elements Gymnastics Academy at Foundry House Community Center, Pembroke.

Her aim was to open a gym that recognises potential, nurtures talent, promotes self confidence and inspires its members to achieve.

The club operates as a Limited Non Profit Company which means the club’s surplus can be used towards the growth and improvement of the club, for the benefit of the community.

Within the first year of operation the club was able to expand its operations through the opening of a satellite club in Bloomfield House Community Centre, Narberth.

Our goal is to expand the high quality provision of gymnastics within the Pembrokeshire area and in partnership with Pembrokeshire County Council and Communities First, our coaches regularly teach lessons in Schools across the county.

The efforts of the Club were recognised in 2014 when managing director Jadie was awarded Young Gymnastic Coach of the Year, by Welsh Gymnastics, for her contribution to the sport within Wales.

Elements like to promote a healthy and active lifestyle to all its members through fun exercises involving a variety of independent and team activities.

We provide a fun, safe, environment where children are able to grow into young adults, developing fundamental skills for everyday life through structured sessions.

Members are encouraged to set their own goals and then work towards achieving them, helping to build their confidence and self-motivation.

Elements specialises in the development of gymnastics for children from walking through to teenage years, within various gymnastics disciplines.

The disciplines we specialise in are Women’s Artistic, Recreational, Preschool and Disability Gymnastics (for both boys and girls) and have plans to develop Men’s Artistic in the near future.

Elements Gymnastics Academy is affiliated with both Welsh and British Gymnastics. We are a “GymMark” accredited club which means we have been recognised by Welsh and British Gymnastics as a safe, effective, and child friendly club.

Safeguarding and Welfare

EGA strive to offer high quality, enjoyable and safe activities for everyone. Therefore, all sessions are led by fully qualified coaches. All of our Gymnastics coaches are qualified through British Gymnastics coaching framework and have completed a DBS check and attended Safeguarding and Protecting Children Training as a requirement of their insurance and code of conduct with Welsh and British Gymnastics.

The club has a Welfare Officer who have received comprehensive training from Welsh and British Gymnastics and completed an enhanced DBS check.

All issues raised with EGA’s Welfare Officers will be dealt with in the appropriate manner – as laid out in the club’s Complaint and Grievance Procedure Policy. All accidents or incidents will be recorded by the club and reported through the correct channels.

Regular Health and Safety checks are carried out by EGA and recorded accordingly.
